ITC’s Physics Laboratory Expands Its Capabilities with a BOY 60E Injection Molding Machine
ITC has recently acquired a BOY 60E injection moulding machine, expanding its capabilities in the preparation and production of plastic test specimens and components.
With a maximum clamping force of 600 kN, the machine enables the production of various types of test specimens, including Type 1A and Type 5A specimens, specimens measuring 80 × 10 × 4 mm and 50 × 6 × 3 mm, as well as plates measuring 119 × 75 × 2 mm.
The machine can process plastic materials at injection temperatures of up to 300 °C. Depending on the specific material, these include PA, POM, PC, ABS, PP and PE. The feedstock can be either plastic granulate or shredded plastic, providing flexibility in specimen preparation to meet testing requirements and customer needs.
The new injection moulding machine strengthens the technological capabilities of ITC’s Physical Testing Laboratory and supports the high-quality preparation of specimens for the testing of plastic materials and products.
