A part of the plant, which is a subject-matter of the sale according to the contract on sale of part of the plant, was exclusive ownership of CSU representing its business activity in the area of testing, whereas for this activity CSI uses the Authorised body No. 212, Designated organization/Notified Body No. 1390, Assessment Body, TAB –Technical Assessment Body, Certification Body No. 3048 and accredited testing laboratory in Prague workplace and accredited testing laboratory in Zlin workplace, which together represent the independent structural component of CSI included with matters, rights and other asset values, really and legally associated with activity of stated part of the plant – testing – i.e. verification of building physical characteristics of building materials and structures.

laboratories of ITC can offer you a new service in the field of static and dynamic testing on tensile tester Instron 8503, which can be run in static or dynamic mode.
Machine has load capacity 250 kN (25 tons) and frame size up to 5 meters (see photo). The machine is intended for testing of big samples, nevertheless (regarding to the compatibility of measuring heads) it is possible to measure not only big loads, but also big samples with loads, starting at 100 N.

Moving the Certification Division's workplaces to a new company space

New Mar resistence test equipment in ITC Zlin
Physical laboratory of ITC Zlin newly offers a possibility of special Mar resistance testing. This test simulates light scratching (e.g. by nails) at finished plastic parts of car interior. The criterium for evaluation is change in gloss before and after test. This new machine fully coresponds with requirements of specification PV 3974 (VW specification) or TPJLR 52.010 (Jaguar Land Rover specification) and others which are set on similar basis.
Depending on free capacity of the lab and number of tested specimens, the test could be finished within one week after receiving purchase order from our client.

ITC services regarding ROHS 3
Since July 22, 2019 „RoHS 3“ (2015/863/EC) updated of so called “RoHS 2” directive (No. 2011/65/EC) will come in force, laying down extended requirements on electric and electronic devices.
Except for heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Hg, Cr VI+) and polybrominated flame retardants (PBBs and PDEs) four phthalic acid esters (phthalates) were newly added:
Bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, Butyl benzyl phthalate, Di butyl phthalate a Di iso butyl phthalate in the amount, not exceeded 0,1 w/w % in mass of homogenous material.
Problematic can be thus PVC softened material, like cable insulations then paintings, glues and softened plastics.

new gas chromatograph in laboratory of analytical chemistry
In August 2018 our laboratory of analytical chemistry purchased a brand new gas chromatograph, mass spectrometer Shimadzu GCMS-QP2020, equipped by a thermal desorption unit TD-30, which is used for analysis of emissions of organic substances.
The spectrometer has a superior sensitivity for organic substances in orders of micro-grams per kg of sample. The system is mainly used for analysis of volatile organic substances (VOC) and condensable substances (FOG) according to the requirements of automotive standard VDA 278, but also for emission measurement of polymer samples to investigate additive system, smell, NIAS (not-intentionally added substances in plastics) etc.

Since September 1, 2018, new general director of the Institute for Testing and Certification has been appointed Mgr. Jiri Hes.
RNDr. Radomir Cevelik remains in the position of Board of Directors Vice President.
Determination of phthalic acid esters according to requirements of CPSC
In June 2018 analytical laboratory ITC accredited new procedure for determination of phthalic acid esters in consumer products according to requirements of CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) No. CPSC-CH-C1001-09.4. New standard came in force on April 25, 2018 and released old one No. CPSC-CH-C1001-09.3.

Analytical laboratory had implemented new methods for testing of volatile organic compounds (VOC) from car interior parts according to Hyundai and Toyota requirements, namely
Hyundai Engineering Standard - MS300-55 - Determination of volatile organic compounds from moulded parts in the vehicle interior
Toyota Engineering Standard TSM 0508G – Volatile component measurement method using sampling bag
Tests are using sampling bags for emission tests, followed by chromatography determination of emitted substances.

At the beginning of 2018 department of analytical chemistry purchased brand new liquid chromatograph with tandem mass spectrometry Shimadzu LC-MS/MS 8045, which is used for trace analysis of organic substances. Spectrometer has superior sensitivity for organic substances in orders of nano-grams per litre of sample. In June first analytical procedures successfully passed accreditation after the validation. New method for determination of organometallic complexes
Our analytical laboratory has implemented new method for determination of organometallic complexes (i.e. alkyl mercury) by cation chromatography, coupled to ICP-MS detection. This group of substances is represented for example by Trimerosal, used as fungicide or fungistatic agent. Such a substances can be limited for example in vaccines or contact lens solutions. Aromatic mineral oils (MOAH) are considered by EFSA as potentially carcinogenic and are given high attention now. the Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of the European Parliament and of the Council on medical devices
On May 5, 2017 the Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 April 2017 on medical devices, amending Directive 2001/83/EC, Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 and Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and repealing Council Directives 90/385/EEC and 93/42/EEC was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. It shall apply from 26 May 2020. By way of derogation, see the Article 123 Entry into force and date of application.
Regulation (EU) 2017/746 of the European Parliament and of the Council on in vitro diagnostic medical devices
On May 5, 2017 the Regulation (EU) 2017/746 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 April 2017 on in vitro diagnostic medical devices and repealing Directive 98/79/EC and Commission Decision 2010/227/EU was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. It shall apply from 26 May 2022. By way of derogation, see the Article 113 Entry into force and date of application.
